The digital marketing space is always evolving, and 2023 promises to be no different. Here’s a few changes to look out for that may have an affect on your business.

Google is turning off cookies

Cookies (the little bit of code on a website that lets advertisers track a website visitor and find out information about them) have actually been turned off by everyone else for some time now, and Google will be putting the final nail in this coffin by the end of the year. If you rely on retargeting for your sales, you’re going to have to find a new solution.

Video is being added to Google Reviews

That’s right – Google Reviews will soon support video uploads. This has been an option on desktop for a little while, with little take-up – we expect this will change once people notice the option directly in their Google Maps app.

TikTok will continue it’s huge surge in growth

TikTok has been on an astronomical growth trajectory for a couple of years now, and in 2023 they’re planning on introducing new business tools to make advertising on the platform a simpler yet more effective experience for advertisers with new targeting options and a focus on usability.
